Online ESAT tutor & preparation
Private, one-to-one ESAT preparation for Cambridge & Imperial applicants — every module, past-paper and timed practice, from £35/hour, wherever you are.
The gateway to Cambridge & Imperial science
The ESAT is used by Cambridge and Imperial College London for their most competitive engineering and science courses. It replaced the old NSAA and ENGAA, and a strong score is a genuine differentiator in an exceptional applicant pool.
It tests how well you apply A-Level maths and science to unfamiliar problems — quickly and accurately. That's a skill targeted preparation sharpens fast.
New to the test? Read our guide: What is the ESAT and how to prepare.

ESAT tutoring questions
What is the ESAT and who needs it?
The ESAT (Engineering and Science Admissions Test) is the admissions test used by the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London for engineering and science courses — including Engineering, Natural Sciences, Chemical Engineering and Veterinary Medicine. It replaced the older NSAA and ENGAA tests. It's administered by UAT-UK through Pearson VUE test centres.
Which ESAT modules should I take?
Mathematics 1 is compulsory for everyone. You then sit the additional modules your chosen course requires — from Mathematics 2, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. We help you confirm exactly which modules your course needs and focus your preparation accordingly.
How is the ESAT scored?
Each module is a timed, multiple-choice paper scored on a scale up to 9.0. Universities look at your module scores alongside the rest of your application. Because it's multiple choice under time pressure, technique and timed practice make a real difference.
How much does an ESAT tutor cost?
Our ESAT tuition starts from £35 per hour, with the exact plan tailored after a free trial lesson so you can meet your tutor before committing anything.
When should I start preparing for the ESAT?
The ESAT is sat in the autumn (with sittings around October and January), so the summer and early autumn before your application is the ideal time to prepare. Two to three months of structured, weekly preparation is far more effective than last-minute cramming.
