Editorial standards
Last updated 7 October 2026
Parents and students make real decisions based on our guides, so we hold them to the same standard as our lessons: accurate, checked against official sources, and kept up to date.
Who writes our content
Guides are written by the Beyond Tutors subject teams: the tutors who teach that level and exam every week. Each piece is reviewed by a senior tutor before it is published.
We don't publish tutors' names, to protect the privacy of our team and our students. Instead, each article shows which team wrote it, and our About page describes our tutors' experience and qualifications.
Official sources first
Exam facts (paper structure, marks, dates, grade boundaries, specification content) are checked against the official source: the exam board (AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, Cambridge, WJEC), Ofqual and JCQ for UK exams, CBSE for Indian board exams, and the College Board or the relevant university for admissions tests. Past-paper links open the board's own files; we don't re-host them.
Keeping guides current
Exam rules change every year. We review our guides when boards publish new specifications, sample papers or dates, and show an 'updated' date on articles we have revised.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, tell us at support@thebeyondtutors.com. We'll check it against the official source and correct it promptly.
Independence
Beyond Tutors is not affiliated with or endorsed by any exam board. Our guides exist to help students, and they also explain how our tutoring can help. Where we recommend our own lessons, we say so plainly.
